Noel Hughes Named Assistant Director of Development for the Big Green
Hughes Brings a Strong Marketing and Business Background to Marshall

Huntington, W.Va. - Big Green Executive Director John Sutherland announced Wednesday that Noel Hughes has been named assistant director of development for the Big Green Scholarship Foundation.
"The Marshall family is going to embrace Noel," Sutherland said. "She has an extensive and successful background in marketing and sales, and cultivating relationships with our current and future donors is a key aspect of this position. Noel will do a great job in this area."
Hughes brings a strong background in marketing and business development to Marshall. She served as a sales manager and design assistant for the Johnson Design Group in Charlotte, N.C., from April 2005 to June of 2006. In that role, she traveled extensively and developed strong working relationships with retailers across the country. She has also worked as a sales associate, coordinating and designing marketing items for businesses such as Luna and the Poole Shop during her career.
"I am very excited about the opportunity to be a part of the Marshall community and to work with the Big Green," Hughes said. "The people here are special and have been so warm and welcoming. I look forward to working with the student-athletes and contributing to the success of the Thundering Herd."
Hughes is a 2004 graduate of Meredith College where she earned a bachelor's degree in merchandising, while minoring in business marketing. She is married to Josh Hughes, who is currently a medical student at Marshall. The couple currently resides in Huntington.
