HUNTINGTON, W.Va.-Marshall tabbed Andrew Donovan, a former Graduate Assistant in the department, as its new Associate Athletics Director for Compliance.
Donovan spent the last two and half years at LSU where he was promoted to Director of Compliance/Education and Communications in December of 2011 after serving as Compliance Coordinator for 15 months. At LSU, he was responsible for monitoring student-athlete employment and countable athletically related activities, in addition to assisting with rules education and rules interpretations. He also maintained the Compliance Office's website and social media initiatives.
Prior to LSU, Donovan served as a GA in the Compliance Office at Marshall University where he received his Master's degree in Sport Administration in May 2010.
A three-year member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC), Donovan is part of the organization’s Convention and Communications committees and has served as a guest speaker at the organization’s annual convention each of the past two years. He will present for a third time at this year’s convention in June.
A native of New Hartford, N.Y., Donovan earned his Bachelor's degree in print journalism and political science from the University of Miami in May 2009.
