Marshall University sophomore forward Tynikki Crook is this week's student-athlete of the week following her performance over the last week.
Crook averaged 18.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game in Marshall's three contests last week, including a career-high 21 points and season-best 13 boards against North Texas. She also tied her career mark with five blocks against the Mean Green. The sophomore shot .679 (19-of-28) for the week.
Crook guided Marshall to a second-place finish at the Fifth Third MU Classic. She averaged 17.0 PPG and 5.0 RPG for all-tournament honors. She also shot .706 (12-of-17) percent from the field and .714 (10-of-14) percent from the free throw line.
