Duval Kirkaldy is in his first year as head strength and conditioning coach for Olympic sports. Duval is responsible for men’s basketball, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball.
Prior to his time at Marshall University, Duval spent 4 years at UCLA as an assistant basketball strength coach working with both men’s and women’s basketball programs. Duval has also worked as Head Basketball Strength and Conditioning Coach with professional basketball teams in China. In 2013, he was the with the men’s and women’s Liaoning National team during the 12th National Games of the People’s Republic of China.
Before his overseas stint, Duval worked as an intern at his Alma Matter, Florida Atlantic University, from 2009- 2012. He has also interned at St John’s University in 2010 working with men’s and women’s basketball.
Duval is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a Speed and Explosive Specialist Certification from National Association of Speed and Explosion. He is also a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2004. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Florida Atlantic University. He later earned his master’s degree in rehabilitation science from California University of Pennsylvania.
