Ryan Herrion is in his first season as a graduate assistant for the Marshall men's basketball team.

He comes to Marshall after a four-year playing career at the University of New Hampshire. A captain his senior season, Herrion was a part of the winningest four-year class in school history while playing for his father, Bill who is still the head coach for the Wildcats.

Herrion stared on his high school team, averaging 25.0 points and 5.0 assists per game as a senior. He was named the Foster's Daily Democrat Dream Team Player of the Year and was a first team all-state selection.

His uncle, Tom Herrion is the head coach at Marshall. His grandfather, Jim Herrion was an assistant coach at Holy Cross.

Herrion graduated from New Hamphire in May of 2012 with a degree in sociology.
