Big Green tailgate and bus available for fans headed to softball regionals

The Herd Softball team is geared up to head to Lexington for first NCAA Tournament game in its history on Friday night against the 12th-seeded Wildcats. The team is extremely excited for the opportunity, and looks forward to seeing a sea of green when it takes the field.

Big Green Bus Available For Fans

The Big Green and Spring Valley Charter have teamed up to offer Herd Fans transportation to the game. Seating is limited and you must RSVP before Friday.

Cost: $25, *includes tailgate

Big Green Tailgate

Anyone coming to the game is encouraged to join the Big Green for a great party prior to the contest. Tailgate will be located in the grass parking lot on the corner of Alumni Drive and College Way.

Time: 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Cost: $15
Includes: Quarter pound burgers and brat, baked beans, potato salad, cole slaw, cookies, Pepsi, water, and beer

Ticket Information

The NCAA Lexington regional schedule was released on Sunday at 10 p.m. ET. There are four teams in the regional - Marshall (35-20), Kentucky (38-18), Notre Dame (43-13) and Virginia Tech (35-19).

There will be all-session passes available for the regional tournament and fans can begin purchasing those passes on Monday online at UKathletics.com or in person at the Joe Craft Ticket Office or over the phone at 800-928-2287 or 859-257-1818.

The all-session passes vary in pricing. The reserved chair seating and bleacher-back seating are $30 for all ages 2 and older. Children a year old or younger are free of charge. General admission is $20 for ages 2 and older, and children a year old or younger are free of charge.

*Single-session passes will be sold based on availability and go on sale Thursday at 9 a.m. ET. The single-session reserved passes are $15 for persons age 2 and above, single-sesion adult general passes are $10 and are for people between the ages of 16-64. The youth and senior general passes are $8 and applies to persons between the ages of 2-18 and/or age 65 and above. Children a year old or younger are free.
