Donor of the Week: Adrian & Amy Garmestani
This week's Big Green Donors of the Week are Adrian & Amy Garmestani of Cornelius, NC. Although now transplanted to Cornelius (just north of Charlotte) the Garmestani's are lifelong Marshall fans by way of local connections. Amy is originally from Milton, while Adrian grew up in Huntington having been born into a family of Herd supporters (his two brothers are also Big Green members and avid Marshall supporters). Both Amy and Adrian are doctors by trade earning their medical degrees from Marshall.
In this important time in Marshall Athletics history the Garmestani's are faithful Big Green members that have continually stepped up to support the Herd. Despite being nearly four hours away Adrian and Amy continue to be committed annual fund donors, season ticket holders, and attendees at as many games as possible. In recognition of their continued support of the Herd the Big Green is proud to recognize Adrian and Amy as this week's Big Green Donors of the Week.
Favorite Marshall Athlete: 1999 MAC Championship Game against Western Michigan. It was an incredible comeback!
Favorite Marshall Moment: Adrian- Randy Moss & Skeeter Roberts. Amy- Chad Pennington.
Why I Donate: We've been going to games since we were kids growing up in Huntington and love Marshall. Giving to the Big Green is a way to show that passion. It's a family affair as my brothers Ahjond and Aric are also donors.
