For immediate release
The Big Green Scholarship Foundation is ecstatic to announce that its most recent membership drive, conducted by the newly-created Big Green Ambassador Program, has raised more than $44,000 for the 2017 Big Green Annual Fund.
In just three short months, the membership drive, which began after the 2017 Green and White Scrimmage, helped bolster the annual fund by recruiting and renewing 203 people.
“It’s amazing what our Big Green Ambassadors continue to do, not only are they helping us increase membership, but what they have been able to raise has never been done in my time with the Big Green”, said John Sutherland, Associate Athletic Director for Development.
The Big Green Ambassador Program had 36 participating members during the drive and are made up of members of the Big Green Board of Trustees, Chapter Representatives and Volunteers. Ambassadors, who are members of the Big Green themselves, play a critical role in helping to contact, solicit and help keep donor records current.
As the drive concluded, the following winners and categories were announced this evening during a celebration dinner.
Most Referred Donors – Kent Brown (22)
Most New Members – Chris Lambert (8)
Most Dollars Raised - Brian Massey ($6,648.00)
Most Renewals Obtained – Jill Francisco (10)
Big Green Chapter with the highest percentage growth – Central Kentucky (9%)
Most Ambassador Points earned during the drive – Chris Lambert (98)
During the membership drive, ambassadors helped the Big Green staff renew and recruit new members. Ambassadors competed for prizes, such as all-inclusive football and basketball trips, exclusive game day experiences and Herd gear. All participating ambassadors received referral and enhanced priority points for their efforts.
