Aug. 22, 2012

Eric is a longtime supporter of Marshall University, and this year decided to become involved in the Big Green for the first time. Eric and his wife, Karen, live in Fayette County with their 9-year-old son, Dillon.

The Ewings have been married for 16 years.

Eric is a graduate of Marshall, earning his master's degree in Biological Sciences in 1996. Upon graduation, he moved back to Fayette County, where he works for the West Virginia Department of Agriculture, serving currently as an Assistant Director in the Plant Industries Division.

Favorite Marshall Athlete: Quarterback Chad Pennington
Favorite Marshall Moment: When QB Byron Leftwich hit WR Darius Watts with .50 seconds left to win the 2002 MAC Championship over Akron.

Why do you give to the Big Green?
It felt like it was my time to step up and get more involved with the athletic program, I have been a supporter of the university for a long time and felt like I was in the position to give back to something I am very passionate about.
