HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Big Green Scholarship Foundation has announced a tailgate-concert entitled "A Tribute To Huck", which is scheduled to be held on Friday, September 18 at 7 p.m. in the West Lot of Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
Highlighting the event is HeadCoach recording artist Rick Huckaby, son of former Thundering Herd men's basketball coach Rick Huckabay. Also scheduled to perform are River Town and Dana Romanello, a former cheerleader at Marshall.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the Coach Rick Huckabay Endowed Scholarship Fund. Tickets are $10 for the general public and $1 for MU students. VIP seating and sponsorships are available. Please call 304-696-4661 for more information.
Tickets are on sale now at the Marshall Ticket Office and will also be available at the gate.
Concessions will be available and all attending are invited to bring their own chairs and coolers and tailgate with Huck. Glass containers are not allowed and VIP parking in the west lot must be vacated by midnight.
"We want to thank Rick Huckaby for this chance to honor his father, Coach Huck," said John Sutherland, Executive Director of the Big Green. "Rick is one of the rising stars in country music and all proceeds to this event will go toward an endowed scholarship for a future basketball player for the Herd."
