Promotions Announced for Oct. 13 Football Game With UCF

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University's Department of Athletics has several promotions in store for its Wednesday, October 13, home football game with UCF that is set to begin at 8 p.m. and be televised nationally by ESPN.

Marshall is encouraging all Herd Fans to take part in a "white out" and wear white to the game. In the spirit of the "White Out Wednesday" the Thundering Herd Football Team will be wearing their all white road uniforms for the game. Local apparel shops are supporting the effort and will be selling white shirts leading up to the game. Also, the first 2,000 fans at the game will receive a free white-out shirt sponsored by Dutch Miller Auto.

The Thundering Herd will also be saying thank you to all veterans and current servicemen and women for their service to our country by offering discounted tickets. Veterans and current Military personnel can purchase end zone tickets for only $15 and sideline tickets for only $22 this is a savings of $7 and $10 per ticket. You can purchase these tickets by visiting the Cam Henderson Center Box Office during traditional ticket office hours. This offer will be valid the day of the game based on seating availability. You must present a valid military ID or Veterans Administration card at the time of purchase in order to qualify for the discount.

The Wednesday night contest will also serve as Faculty/Staff Appreciation Day and all Marshall University Faculty and Staff will receive one complimentary sideline ticket for the game. Faculty and Staff members must visit the Cam Henderson Center box office no later than 5:00p.m. on Tuesday October 12 to obtain their complimentary ticket. Faculty and staff members will also have the option to purchase up to three additional sideline tickets for just $15 each. These seats will be in various sections on the east side of the stadium and will be designated by the ticket office staff. Faculty and staff members who decide to take advantage of the deal will have saved over $80 off the original price of the tickets. You must present a proper MU Faculty/Staff ID at the time of purchase.
