Like so many other Herd fans, Patrick Lucas grew up in Huntington and remembers the days of Fuzzy Feliz catching touchdown passes at Fairfield Stadium, just a block away from his house. His love for the Herd began there and grew even more as a student at MU, graduating with the class of '91. Today he's the owner and broker of Century 21 Homes and Land in Barboursville.
Paula Lucas is also a Marshall grad, with a bachelor's degree and a master's completed in 1990. She has been a part of Marshall's College of Education for the past 18 years and Dr. Lucas plays the role of "supermom" keeping up with their two children, Steven (11) and Samantha (6).
The next time you're at the Herd's game at the Henderson Center, just look down at the front row across from the team bench where you'll see little Samantha in her cheerleading outfit dancing with the Thundering Herd Band!
Thanks to the Lucas family for their support for the Herd through the Big Green Scholarship Foundation!
