Junior Daniel Green on his performance

“The race was good. The weather was different than I think what our guys are used to, being hot and humid, but I felt fine. I went a bit slower than I should have in miles two and three, but overall a good effort. I got top-20, which I wasn’t expecting. To be the top Marshall finisher at this meet means a lot.”

Junior Adriana Cook on her performance

“The weather today was a complete 180 from our first meet, so the heat and humidity hit everyone pretty hard. But I’m proud of how we performed. We’re all training hard through these races and are giving everything we got. I think we have great momentum rolling into the season and I’m so excited to see what God has planned for us.”

The team returns to action on Friday, September 29 at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Indiana. Follow the Marshall University cross country team on Twitter and Instagram @HerdTFXC for coverage all season long. #IAmBecauseWeAre
