NEW ORLEANS- The  U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its 2011-12 list of All-Academic Cross Country Teams this past week, and amongst those squads present in the listing was the Thundering Herd women’s cross country team.

A total of 205 institutions representing over 30 conferences were recipients of the All-Academic honor, having met the required cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and having started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.

Marshall, with a cumulative team GPA of 3.38, was one of ten Conference USA teams to receive All-Academic recognition for the 2011 season.
