The teams will face strong competition in Nashville, with over 1,000 male and female runners combined. The teams will face off against schools from power conferences such as the SEC, ACC, and Big Ten. Auburn, Georgia, Louisville, Missouri, Ohio State, and Tennessee are just a few of the over 20 teams that will be at the meet. In addition, Conference USA opposition Middle Tennessee, UAB, and Western Kentucky will be in Nashville alongside Marshall.

Assistant Coach Caleb Bowen on the team’s second meet:

“Our first meet in Morehead was mainly local competition so it’ll be interesting to see how our runners, especially our top runners, stack up against some great competition from around the country.”

On the competition at the Commodore Classic:

“It’s going to be a really competitive meet. You have some of the best guys and girls from around the country, as well as some of the best schools from around the country competing in this meet.”

On runners to watch for:

“We’re looking forward to all of our runners this weekend and see how they’ve improved since the first meet, but especially look for on the men’s side Daniel Green and Alex Minor, and on the women’s side watch for Adriana Cook and Andrea Porter.”
