LAST TIME OUT
The Herd wrapped up the Conference USA Championships in Bowling Green, Ky. Adrianna Cook’s 23rd place finish, along with junior Andrea Porter’s 28th place finish, helped the Herd to earn the 9th place finish out of 13 teams.
On the men’s side, the Herd finished eighth out of 11 teams, including freshman Nick Schmidt’s 26th place run. Marshall featured three runners in the top 50.
Assistant coach Caleb Bowen on the meet:
“I am looking forward to racing the Mid Atlantic Regional Championship this weekend. This is the race we have been training for since August and I think we are in a position to run a lot better than we did last year. If we can have our 3-5 runners on both sides to be really close together, I think we will be right in the mix of things.”
