Marshall assistant coach Caleb Bowen on the meet:
“I am pretty proud of both teams today. They both have overcome so much to get to this point in the season and for the most part we ran better than last year. That being said, we didn't quite run as well as what I think we could have. But we will take what we learned from this season and get better.”
“As for the races, Andrea ran really strong. She followed the race plan pretty well and placed a lot higher than she did last year. Alex Phares also ran really strong to be our second woman’s performer. Tori Dent had probably the best race of the season on a day where we needed her the most. I am definitely proud of what these girls accomplished today.”
“On the men side, Nick Schmidt led the team like he has all season and ran a really exceptional time for a freshman. He has so much potential and I can't wait to see what he will do as he progresses in his career. Daniel Green also ran tough and came in second for us. Senior Tyler Salmons finished his career with a solid run as well. These guys are awesome and it's been really fun watching them get better this season.”
