Career Notes: An extremely versatile pitcher has served as a closer, long reliever and starter during his first three seasons...returns as the active team leader in career wins (10), appearances (63), saves (8), innings pitched (147.1) and strikeouts (129)...ranks eighth all-time in school history in appearances...third at MU in saves (8)...expected to be a weekend starter in 2011...became the first pitcher at Marshall to be named a First Team All-Conference USA selection last season.

2010: First Team All-Conference USA selection...named to C-USA All-Academic Team...earned 2010 CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District in the University Division...was moved from a long reliever role to a starter before the beginning of C-USA play...finished with a 6-5 record and 3.88 ERA...made 17 total appearances and nine starts...logged 69.2 innings and recorded 57 strikeouts...went 3-2 with a 3.72 ERA against league opponents in eight starts...finished second on the club in strikeouts...his ERA was the fourth best in the conference...held opponents to a .257 average - sixth best in the league...gave up the fewest earned runs in the conference out of pitchers that qualified in the conference...fired a career-high seven innings, surrendering three hits and no runs with five strikeouts to earn the victory vs. Southern Miss (4/18)...picked the win at East Carolina by allowing just one earned run over six innings with a career-high eight strikeouts (5/2).

Summer League: Pitched for the Rochester Honkers of the Northwoods League...earned the win in the North vs. South All-Star game...registered a 2-3 record and 5.76 ERA...pitched in 19 games, all in relief, totaling 29.2 innings...finished with seven saves and 25 strikeouts.

2009: Appeared in 18 games totaling 38.1 innings on the bump...15-of-18 outings came out of the bullpen...first on the team with a 2.1 strikeout-to-walk ratio (36K-17BB)...posted a 2-2 record...recorded 10 multi-strikeout games...made first collegiate start in season opener pitching a career-best 5.0 shutout innings with five strikeouts vs. Akron (2/20)...notched a career-high six punch outs at No. 21 Kent State (3/10)...earned the win working 1.2 innings of scoreless relief at West Virginia State (3/18)...fired 4.1 innings of scoreless relief with five strikeouts at Southern Miss (4/3).

2008: Made 28 relief appearances...listed second in single-season appearances at Marshall (28)...notched single-season record eight saves...listed third on career-saves list with eight...tossed 36 strikeouts in 39.1 innings of work...recorded a 4.12 ERA...earned 2-3 record...had 11 multi-strikeout games...fanned four batters in tournament appearance vs. Tulane (5/24)...tossed season-high 4.0 innings against Southern Miss (5/4)...tossed 20.1 innings of scoreless relief including 7.1 straight innings (3/1-3/16).

High School: Registered a .440 batting average...notched five homers...recorded 27 stolen bases...scored 42 runs...tallied 38 RBI...established a 1.30 ERA with 74 strikeouts...named West Virginia State Player of the Year...AAA All-State captain in 2006 and 2007...named Louisville Slugger All-American...named conference and county Player of the Year in 2006 and 2007...National High School BCA All-District team in 2006...member of state championship team in 2006...selected as an all-state tournament team member...maintained a 3.8 GPA.

Personal: Born Dec. 21, 1988...son of Andy and Judy Sikula...father is the Dean of the Lewis College of Business at Marshall and played football at Hiram College...has five siblings: AJ, Alissa, Andrew, Ana and Drew...a double major in accounting and finance.
