2008: Made 11 starts in 18 appearances on the hill...tossed 44 strikeouts in 67.2 inning of work during the season...fanned five batters in opening game against Western Carolina (2/22) and in game one of a double-header against Delaware State (5/10)...finished the season with a 2-5 record and 6.65 ERA...wins came against Western Carolina (2/22) and VMI (3/14)...tossed a season-high eight strong innings against the Keydets...tied for sixth on top 10 career appearance list at Marshall (61).

2007: Posted 4-3 record that included four starts and 23 appearances...notched a second-best 47 strikeouts on team...Struck out eight in two games against Houston (4/27) and at UCF (5/17)...pitched 12.0 scoreless innings of relief...tossed three scoreless innings of relief against Buffalo (3/3) and at Rice (3/31)...allowed just one run in seven appearances.

2006: Herd's most dependable lefthander out of bullpen, posting team-low 2.25 ERA while hitters batted just .220 against him ... 1.59 ERA in nine bullpen appearance during Conference USA play ... allowed just three of 25 inherited runners to score ... earned save in win at Eastern Kentucky (5/3) ... notched first career win in scoreless inning of work in 6-5 win over UCF (4/2) ... allowed runs in just four of 20 appearances ... earned Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll academic honors.

2005: Did not play, redshirt.

Prior to Marshall: Played for Spring Valley Wolves (USSSA) for two seasons and also spent year with Nextel Young Guns ... played in Stan Musial League for two years and also participated on American Legion Post 177 squad ... took part on Athletes International squad in Aruba.

High School: All state-pitcher as a senior ... was 5-4 at Spring Valley with 2.15 ERA, 91 strikeouts, 58 walks, and one save in 53 innings pitched ... also batted .310 ... was 2004 Sectional Champion ... named Most Valuable Player and member of All-Tournament Team in Foothills Classic ... first team All-MSAC ... first team WV/KY League ... also earned letter in cross country.
