Second Season

Brandon Casamassima enters his second season as Director of Baseball Operations for the Marshall baseball program. Casamassima played three seasons (2007-09) for the Thundering Herd under head coach Jeff Waggoner prior to joining the staff.

In his current position, Casamassima will be in charge of booking the Herd's travel plans, organizing/instructing camps, along with assisting in day-to-day team activities.

Casamassima was a very versatile player as he started at seven different positions and batted in ever spot in the order during his three-year playing career for the Herd. He has cemented himself in the MU career record books by finishing in the top-10 in four statistical categories. Casamassima ended his career at the time fifth inat bats (573) and runs scored (123), 10th in doubles (32) and tied for 10th in games played (156).

Prior to playing for the Herd, Casamassima played one season at Grayson County Community College (Texas) and attended Colleyville Heritage high school.

A native of Colleyville, Texas, Casamassima is a 2009 graduate of Marshall with a business management degree. He is currently pursuing a MBA.
