Career Notes: Named a National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Third Team Preseason All-American...one of the best if not the best offensive player in Marshall baseball history...holds school records in homers (46), RBI (172) and total bases (414)...tied with Rice's Anthony Rendon as the active leader in C-USA in homers...just 22 hits shy of breaking Adam Frederick's school record of 250...has hit a homer against every team in C-USA and has a total of 25 round trippers vs. league opponents...career .351 hitter overall and owns a .367 batting clip vs. conference arms...named First Team All-C-USA as an infielder in 2009 and a second team all-conference selection and all-freshman team as a DH/UT in 2008...expected to see majority of time at 1B...will also C and DH.

Summer League:Played for the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod League and the West Virginia Miners of the Prospect League...hit .321 for the Miners, lacing 42 hits in 131 at bats...collected 24 RBI and scored 19 times...roped eight doubles and connected for three homers.
2009: Named first team All-Conference USA as an infielder...earned C-USA Hitter of the Week (4/20) by batting .438 (7-for-16) with four homers, 10 RBI, five runs scored and a 1.250 slugging percentage...started and appeared in 52 games, making 30 starts at 1B, 12 at C, seven at DH and three at 3B...led the team in at bats (217), hits (72), home runs (18), RBI (62), total bases (143), extra-base hits (33), slugging percentage (.659), put outs (352), multi-hit games (23), multi-RBI games (21) and two-out RBI (19)...finished second on the team in batting average at .332 (72-for-217) and doubles (13)...ranked 33rd in the NCAA in home runs per game (.35/g)...finished second in C-USA in homers and slugging percentage...tied for fifth in RBI and sixth in total bases out of C-USA players...finished fifth in the MU single season record books in homers, RBI and total bases... hit .425 (17-for-40) with nine extra-base hits and 13 RBI during a nine-game hit streak (3/21-4/1)...set career-highs for homers (2) and RBI (5) in a game at No. 1 Rice (4/19)...had a five-game stretch where he hit .538 (14-for-26) with 12 RBI, six runs and five extra-base hits...went 4-for-5 with a double, homer and four RBIvs. Houston (4/26).
