Herd Baseball Adds Additional Showcase Camps
Myrtle Beach, two Florida dates added to schedule
Brian Karlet is in his second season as director of baseball operations at Marshall University.
A native of South Point, Ohio, Karlet is responsible for coordinating travel, budget planning, breaking down film, compliance issues and the day-to-day operations of the baseball program. Prior to Marshall, he worked as a fundraising consultant in Louisville, Ky., and worked with high school athletics teams.
Karlet graduated from South Point High School and then played two years at the University of Rio Grande before competing in his final two seasons at Georgetown (Ky.) College, where he was an all-conference selection his senior year. He currently is pursing his master's degree in athletic administration at Marshall.
Karlet is married to Kelley Karlet, a nurse at St. Marys Hospital. They reside in Barboursville, W.Va.
