Herd to return top three starting pitchers

Career Notes: A durable sure-handed infielder...started all 58 games at SS, expected to make the transition to 2B in the top-10 in Marshall history in games played and at bats...with 137 career hits has a chance to become just the fifth player in school history with 200 base knocks...could see time out of the Herd bullpen.

2010: Started and played all 58 games at SS...finished with a .264 (52-for-197) hitting clip at the plate...his 52 hits finished tied for third on the club...roped 10 extra-base hits and added 24 RBI...posted eight multi-hit games and six games with two RBI...produced a 15-game hit streak - second longest on the team (3/19-4/14)...finished fourth in the league in sacrifice bunts (11)...went 3-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI in the season opener at Samford (2/19)...was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate vs. Le Moyne (3/20)...slapped four hits in five at bats with three runs scored at Morehead State (4/13)...smoked a pair of hits including his lone homer of the season against Houston at the C-USA tournament (5/26).

Summer League: Played for the Stark County Terriers of the Great Lakes League...played in 29 games making 27 starts...went 20-for-84 in the batter's box...scored 12 runs and collected nine RBI.

2009: Played in 52 games, starting 49...made 43 starts at SS and six at 2B...hit at a .280 clip during his sophomore campaign...collected 49 hits and scored 20 runs...only struck out once every 13.46 at-bats (13-of-175)...knocked in 26 runs, including a season-best three RBI at UCF (5/2)...led the team in sacrifices with 11...topped the squad with 140 assists and helped convert 38 double plays...posted 12 multi-hit games...hit a walk-off homer in the 16th inning to defeat Morehead State (3/4)...strung together an eight-game hit streak (4/24-5/3)... set a career-high with a four-hit performance at Youngstown State (4/29)...lined two base hits and drove in two runs at No. 18 Ohio State (4/1).

2008: Started 47-of-52 games played...tallied 36 hits...drove in 21 runs...scored 26 runs...laced four doubles...had 10 multi-hit games...launched home runs at Western Carolina (2/22) and vs. Valparaiso (3/11)...legged out lone triple at Louisville (4/9)...registered four multi-RBI games...drove in four runs at Western Carolina (2/22)...notched seven multi-run scoring games...hit safely in five-straight contests between 3/18 and 3/25...made four appearances on the mound...registered strikeouts at Morehead State (4/2), at Louisville (4/9) and at Eastern Kentucky (4/15)...tossed 2.1 innings of scoreless relief.

High School: Was a four year varsity starter...had a .488 batting average as a junior with five homers, 31 RBI...two-time first team All-Dade County selection...collected a .561 average as a senior with one home run and 29 RBI...led county in hitting...second-team all-state...named team MVP...captain of team junior and senior years...made all-star team in the Connie Mack World Series...played for the Florida Legends in the Connie Mack World Series...batted .298 with one homerun, 33 runs scored...led the team with 23 RBI and eight stolen bases during Connie Mack World Series...maintained a 3.0 GPA.
