Career: Right-handed pitcher that works primarily out of the bullpen ...made several good starts at the beginning of sophomore season before serving as a setup man/closer...capable of production in all relief roles: long relief through the middle innings or as a setup man or closer in the later innings.
2012: Made a pair of weekend starts over the first two weeks of the season before being moved to the bullpen...led the team with 23 game appearances...went 1-1 as a starter and 1-4 as a reliever...2-5 for the year with an earned run average of 2.30...did not give up a run in any of his first five relief appearances (10.1 innings)...picked up his only save of the season against St. Bonaventure (3/18)...struck out 42 in 43.0 IP...saw his earned run average drop to 1.72 after pitching two hitless innings against East Carolina (5/5)...gave up earned runs in only seven of his 21 relief apearances.
2011: Pitched 39.2 innings in relief...went 2-4 with two saves and a 3.86 earned run average...fanned a hitter in 18 of his 22 appearances...led the Marshall bullpen with 32 strikeouts...made his first collegiate appearance in a 6-4 victory over Kentucky (2/19) where he threw two scoreless innings with two punchouts.
High School: Finished with an 8-1 record with six complete games at Troup HS...the righty logged 65 innings and collected 88 strikeouts with a 1.25 ERA...team advanced to the Elite Eight in state playoffs...honored with the ACE Pitcher Award...named to all-state and all-region teams...played for the Ohio Warhawks summer team...captured the National Championship in 2010.
