Career: Played two seasons under Coach Waggoner before moving on to the next level...earned a spot in the starting rotation for the Midland Rockhounds (Double-A) and played there for a year and a half before being promoted to the Triple-A Sacramento River Cats...eventually received another promotion (August 2, 2012) to the Majors where he threw six innings of one-run ball in his debut (August 4, 2012)...Won his first Big League game on August 16, becoming the first former Marshall pitcher to take a winning decision since Rick Reed in 2003.
2009: Made 13 starts and posted a 4-3 record with an earned run average of 4.27...struck out 58 in 71.2 innings pitched...had a streak of three starts where he struck out 23 over 20.0 innings (3/15-3/27)...handed in seven quality starts.
2008: Made 15 starts in 16 appearances on the hill...earned a 5-4 record...named to the C-USA All-Tournament team...tied for second on single-season games started list (15)...recorded a 4.28 ERA...tossed second-best 57 strikeouts in 82.0 innings pitched (second best on squad)...dealt season-high seven strikeouts against Valparaiso (3/11) to earn first win...allowed zero runs in 5.0 inning, four-strikeout start against Delaware State (5/10)...tossed 2.0 innings of scoreless relief to earn victory over Southern Miss (5/25) in C-USA tournament action...hurled season-high 7.2 innings during tournament play against Southern Miss (5/23)...allowed just one hit and dealt three strikeouts in 6.0-inning start against Memphis (3/30).
