Career Notes: Known purely as a slugger...has the ability to send balls into orbit with extreme power...launched nine homers in each of his first two seasons with the Herd, then belted five more in his junior year and two in his senior season...completed his career at Marshall having amassed 199 games played (fifth all-time at Marshall), 607 at-bats (sixth all-time), 89 walks (sixth all-time), 34 doubles (10th all-time), and 25 home runs (11th all-time).
2012: Started out his senior season slow and finished with a .227 average...drove in 19 runs and scored 13 more...smacked nine doubles and two home runs...posted seven multihit games and five multi-RBI games...hit the game-winning home run to straight-away center in the eighth inning against Liberty (4/1)...went 4-for-4 in game one against Eastern Michigan (3/2)...stole a base for the second time of his career against Southern Miss (4/28)...reached base in the final 11 games of his Marshall career and hit safely in his final four...doubled twice in each of his last two games.
2011: Spent 31 of his 37 starts behind home plate...found a home hitting 5th in the order where he could bat behind fellow sluggers Victor Gomez and Rhett Stafford...appeared in 46 of the 51 games...batted .257 (37-for-144)...slugged .444 with 12 doubles and five homers...batted in 23 runs...hit homers in back-to-back games during a double-header at Memphis (4/30)...came up a triple shy of hitting for the cycle with a 3-for-4 outing against Radford (5/10).
2010: Split time behind the dish with Victor Gomez...started 38 games (20 at C, 18 at DH) and appeared in a total of 50...finished with a .252 batting average...ended third on the team in homers (9) and RBI (32)...smacked a pair of doubles against LeMoyne (3/21)...tattooed a pair of 3-run homers vs. Coppin State (4/21)...went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI in a win against Memphis at the C-USA tournament.
Summer League: Competed for the Danbury Westerners of the New England Collegiate Baseball League...posted a .286 batting average (24-for-84), .439 on-base percentage and .536 slugging percentage...launched six homers, tied for the best on the club...added 16 RBI...showed improved plate discipline walking 21 times compared to 23 strikeouts.
2009: Started 49 games and played in a total of 52 games...started 38 games at DH, nine at C and two at 1B...compiled a .228 (37-for-162) batting average, .376 on-base percentage and .432 slugging percentage...finished tied for second on team in walks (33) and third in homers (9)...crossed home plate 20 times and plated 28 runners...tied for second on the team with 14 RBI with two outs...totaled eight multi-RBI games and five multi-hit contests...roped a single in his first collegiate at bat vs. Akron (2/20)...smashed homers in back-to-back games for his second and third collegiate hits both coming against Old Dominion (2/21-22)...went 2-for-3 with a homer, two RBI and two runs scored vs. No. 21 Kent State (3/10)...launched a three-run homer and scored two runs at No. 18 Ohio State (4/1).
High School: Batted .379 with 28 home runs and 136 RBIs while at Hurricane HS...was an Under Armor Preseason All-American in 2007 and 2008...earned all-state honors...was selected to compete in the National Homerun Contest at Tropicana Field...played summer ball for the Huntington Hounds from 2005-07...batted .320 with 10 homers and 27 RBIs for the Hounds in 2007...played for Cincinnati Midland in the summer of 2008...batted .417 with 13 home runs, 62 RBIs and 28 doubles...maintained a 3.5 GPA.
