Baseball Begins Winter Instructional League
Herd hosting another set of hitting clinics

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- Marshall Baseball will begin its winter hitting instructional league on Monday, Jan. 27 and will continue with sessions on the following dates: Monday Feb. 3, Feb. 10, and Feb. 17. All sessions will be held in Marshall’s hitting facility within Gullickson Hall.
The focus of the hitting league is to provide a high level of instruction to local youth baseball players in an organized enjoyable atmosphere that will foster baseball development among the participants.
All sessions will consist of drill work and evaluation of each participant’s swing. In addition to general mechanics, areas of focus will be situational offense, bunting, and the mental aspect of hitting. Instruction will come from assistant coaches Brian Karlet and Billy Tecklenburg as well as current Herd players.
The league will be divided into two age brackets- 7 through 12 and 13 through 18. Cost is $100 for all four sessions or $25 per session. Payment will be accepted in the form of cash or check and will be accepted the day of instruction.
Ages 7 through 12 will be from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and ages 13-18 will receive instruction from 7:30-9:00 p.m.
The hitting clinic is open to any and all entrants.
