HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- In the 2012 non-conference season finale, Marshall baseball will host Radford at Linda K. Epling Stadium in Beckley, W.Va. Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Marshall (16-34) owns a 4-2 advantage in the brief all-time series but lost the two most recent meetings in 2010 and 2011.
The Thundering Herd enters the contest having lost seven of its last eight but managed a win over No. 13 UCF in its recent weekend series. Similarly, the Highlanders (26-24-1) have come away with only one victory in their last eight decisions.
Radford, which competes in the Big South Conference, defeated Bryant two games to one in a three-game series back in early March. Two months later, the Highlanders were defeated by the Gardner-Webb Runnin’ Bulldogs by the same margin.
Marshall owns a series sweep over GWU this season as well as a lop-sided 16-2 triumph over Bryant.
In all, the Herd is 5-2 against Marshall and Radford’s common opponents. The Highlanders are 3-3.
