@HerdBaseball to Host Youth Camp in July

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall baseball will host its annual summer youth camp this July in Hurricane, W.Va., announced Friday.
The Marshall baseball youth camp is open for any and all entrants from 1st to 8th grade. The camp will be held on July 17-18 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m at the Hurricane Little League Field (14 City Park, Hurricane, WV 25526). The cost of the camp will be $65.
Campers will be instructed by Marshall University coaches and players on the techniques and fundamentals of hitting, pitching, infield, outfield, catching, base running, bunting, cutoffs and relays, rundowns and sliding. Games will be played to emphasize the techniques learned in our daily instruction as part of the youth camp.
The Thundering Herd boasted its seventh-best win total in program history this past season by earning 25 wins. Marshall had series wins over Lehigh, Niagara, UTSA, UAB and WKU. The Herd also featured wins over No. 25 Southern Miss, Virginia Tech, Morehead State, ETSU and Ohio.
