Details for each are found below:
Aaron Blair – Pitcher – Hillsboro Hops (Short Season Northwest League; Class A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks)
Blair (who was with the Thundering Herd from 2011-2013) made his third and fourth professional starts last week, lasting four innings in each. On Tuesday, he gave up three hits and no runs to bring him to nine scoreless innings on the bump. However, the right-hander gave up five (earned) runs (all in the fourth inning) on five hits on Sunday. Three of those runs came off the bat of a one-out homer, but Blair escaped with no decision as the Hops tied the game up in the bottom of the ninth.

Isaac Ballou – OF – Auburn Doubledays (Short Season New York-Penn League; Class A affiliate of the Washington Nationals)
Ballou (2010-2013) batted an even .300 (6-for-20) last week which included a pair of two-hit games on the road. For the week, he doubled twice, scored once, stole a base, and drove in a run in five starts.
Ballou’s season stats: .260/.383/.350, 13 R, 9 RBI, 1 HR, 14 BB, 12 K, 4 SB
Joe Church – Relief Pitcher – Fort Wayne TinCaps (Midwest League; Class A affiliate of the San Diego Padres)
Church (2009-2012) appeared in one game last week, a four-inning scoreless stint where he kept Fort Wayne within striking distance in what wound up a 6-3 loss. Church was brought in with two out and a man on in the fourth and kept Quad Cities to just three hits well into the eighth.

Mike Mason – Relief Pitcher – Asheville Tourists (South Atlantic League; Class A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies)
Mason (2009-2012) tossed an inning of scoreless ball in Asheville’s 6-0 loss to Greenville on Friday.
Mason’s season stats: 19 G, 3-1, 3.46 ERA, 26.0 IP, 25 H, 11 R, 10 ER, 10 BB, 24 K
Arik Sikula – Relief Pitcher – Lansing Lugnuts (Midwest League; Class A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays)
Sikula (2008-2011) collected his 12th save and fourth win of the season in three appearances during the week. He gave up only three hits and no runs across 3.2 innings. The 12 saves on the season have him ranked in a tie for fifth in the Midwest League.
Sikula’s season stats: 34 G, 3-0, 2.11 ERA, 12 saves, 42.2 IP, 30 H, 10 R, 10 ER, 14 BB, 39 K
Ian Kadish – Relief Pitcher – Lansing Lugnuts (Midwest League; Class A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays)
Kadish (2008-2011) took a loss in one of three appearances (2.1 innings) last week with the Lugnuts. On Wednesday, the right-hander struck out one in a scoreless frame against Clinton, but two days later, the LumberKings tagged him with a run on two hits in his single inning of work. Kadish followed that with a loss on Sunday when Kane County walked off with a run in the 10th.

Kevin Shackelford – Relief Pitcher – Huntsville Stars (Southern League; Double-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers)
Shackelford (2008-2010) was utilized in a save situation in his only game of last week. Ahead 3-2, he retired the heart of the Pensacola lineup on 11 pitches in the bottom of the ninth to cash in on his second save with the Stars.
Shackelford’s season stats: 29 games, 1-3, 4.66 ERA, 4 saves, 38.2 IP, 42 H, 20 R, 20 ER, 5 BB, 29 K
Dan Straily – Starting Pitcher – Oakland Athletics
Straily (2008-2009), back with the A’s after one start with Triple-A Sacramento, suffered his first loss in the last six decisions when Oakland was shut out, 2-0, by the Angels on Saturday. Straily lasted seven strong innings (eight hits and no walks) but gave up a run on Josh Hamilton’s sacrifice fly in the first before allowing Alberto Callaspo to take him deep to lead off the seventh. Straily struck out four in the losing effort.
Straily’s season stats with the A’s: 6-3 in 15 starts, 4.14 ERA, 87.0 IP, 72 H, 41 R, 40 ER, 26 BB, 70 K
Thor Meeks – Catcher – Hagerstown Suns (South Atlantic League; Class A affiliate of the Washington Nationals)
Meeks (2009-2012) is currently listed on the disabled list.
Greg Williams – Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Advanced California League; Class A affiliate of the Texas Rangers)
Williams (2009-2011) was with the Pelicans for the latter part of the 2012 season and will remain with the club while he undergoes a rehab stint during the 2013 season. The right-hander, who was 2-0 with a 3.96 ERA in 2012, needed Tommy John surgery in October and will remain in the Rangers’ system at their Arizona complex until his recovery.
