HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Dan Straily’s back-to-back wins for the Cincinnati Reds, Kevin Shackelford’s third save and Parker Danciu’s second win highlighted last week’s action as nine former Marshall baseball players continued their professional careers with Major League organizations.

Dan Straily -- Starting Pitcher -- Cincinnati Reds
Straily won back-to-back outings for the first time this season. He got the start against Arizona last Friday in Cincinnati. The 6-2 righty tossed six innings and allowed two runs on five hits. He had eight strikeouts in the win. On Wednesday, Straily outpitched Madison Bumgarner in San Francisco as he tossed 7.2 innings and allowed one run on three hits and five strikeouts.

Aaron Blair -- Starting Pitcher – Gwinnett Braves (International League; Triple-A Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves)
Blair earned his first win for Gwinnett since being optioned back to Triple-A. The 6-4 righty tossed six innings with nine strikeouts against Indianapolis on Wednesday. Blair allowed a run in the first inning, but was unearned due to an error on the third baseman.

Blair’s season stats with Triple-A Gwinnett: 10 G, 10 GS, 4-3, 4.06 ERA, 57.2 IP, 60 H, 27 R, 26 ER, 25 BB, 60 K
Kevin Shackelford -- Relief Pitcher -- Louisville Bats (International League; Triple-A Affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds)
Shackelford picked up his third straight save last Friday for the Bats against Lehigh Valley. He pitched one inning without allowing a hit. His next appearance came on Wednesday at home against Charlotte. The 6-5 righty tossed one scoreless inning with one hit allowed. Through 28 innings pitched this season in Triple-A and Double-A, Shackelford holds a 0.64 ERA.

Shackelford’s season stats with Double-A Pensacola: 10 G, 1-0, 1.38 ERA, 13.0 IP, 11 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 4 BB, 11 K
Isaac Ballou -- Outfielder -- Harrisburg Senators (Eastern League; Double-A Affiliate of the Washington Nationals)
Ballou made seven starts this past week for the Senators. The Smithfield, Va., native had seven hits and seven RBIs, including two multi-RBI games. Ballou recorded his fourth home run of the season on Sunday against Richmond. On Thursday, Ballou was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs at Hartford.

Burris Warner -- Pitcher -- Lakeland Flying Tigers (Florida State League; Class A Advance Affiliate of the Detroit Tigers)
Warner made no appearances last week for the Flying Tigers.

Corey Bird -- Outfielder -- Batavia Muckdogs (New York-Penn League; Class A Short Season Affiliate of the Miami Marlins)
Bird made four starts last week for the Muckdogs. Bird recorded three hits against Williamsport, State College and Lowell. On Sunday, Bird was 1-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs against State College.

JD Hammer -- Pitcher -- Grand Junction Rockies (Pioneer League; Rookie Affiliate of the Colorado Rockies)
Hammer has lowered his ERA for eight consecutive games for the Rockies. He made three appearances this week that lowered his ERA from 3.38 to 2.50. On Saturday against Billings, he tossed two scoreless innings with one strikeout. Hammer continued his dominance Tuesday against Great Falls by striking out the side in the one inning he pitched. The 6-3 righty pitched 1.2 scoreless innings at Idaho Falls and had three strikeouts.

Parker Danciu -- Pitcher -- GCL Braves (Gulf Coast League; Rookie Affiliate of the Atlanta Braves)
Danciu continued to impress for the Braves this past week in two appearances. The 6-4 lefty earned his second win of his professional career against the GCL Tigers West on Saturday. He pitched 3.1 shutout innings with one hit allowed and three strikeouts. On Thursday, Danciu tossed a third of an inning against the GCL Yankees East and had a strikeout.
Danciu’s season stats: 7 G, 2-0, 2.45 ERA, 18.1 IP, 15 H, 6 R, 5 ER, 4 BB, 16 K, 2 SV
Aaron Bossi -- Catcher -- GCL Yankees East (Gulf Coast League; Rookie Affiliate of the New York Yankees)
Bossi started for the Yankees against the GCL Braves on Thursday at designated hitter. Bossi was hitless in the contest.
