HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall University’s baseball team will begin its fall World Series Friday at 3 p.m. when the Green and White square off for their annual showdown.
Games will run through Saturday and Sunday of this weekend and will also be featured Friday through Sunday, Oct. 19-21. A potential game seven would take place during the following week.
This weekend’s schedule:
Friday – 3 p.m.
Saturday – 1 p.m.
Sunday – 12 p.m.
Thundering Herd senior Wayland Moore (white team) will make the start in Friday’s series opener, throwing against incoming freshman Chase Boster (RHP, Stafford, Va.).
Starting pitchers for Saturday and Sunday will include four new faces as Zachary Shockley (LHP, Strongsville, Ohio) will face Michael Taylor (RHP, St. Albans, W.Va.) on Saturday, and Brandyn Sittinger (RHP, LaGrange, Ohio) will face Alex Thackston (LHP, Proctorville, Ohio) on Sunday.
