Baseball to Play Fall World Series

HUNTINGTON, W.VA. – The Marshall University baseball team will begin its annual Green and White World Series this Fri., Oct. 21. The first pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.

The Thundering Herd will play the first three games of the intrasquad series over the weekend, with games four through six starting back up on Thurs., Oct. 27 and running through the following Sunday.

Leading the Green team will be first year assistant coach Andrew Blain, while Marshall’s head baseball coach, Jeff Waggoner, will coach the White squad.

Friday’s competition will feature starting pitchers Ryan Hopkins (Green) and Aaron Blair (White).

The following day, the McGillicuddy brothers will face off against each other on the mound. John McGillicuddy will be throwing for the green squad and Joe McGillicuddy will throw for the white team. Saturday's event will also be featuring Parents Day.

Sunday will showcase Brett Mays (Green) and Jared Knoll (White) as the starting pitchers.
