Marshall announces winter instructional programs|

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall baseball has announced three instructional clinics this winter. All of the clinics will be held in Gullickson Gym.
The first will be a hitting clinic offered on Saturday, Dec. 7. The clinic will focus on the art of hitting through drill work and evaluation of each participant. In addition to general mechanics, areas of focus will be situational offense, bunting, and the mental aspect of hitting.
The pitching/catching clinic will be held on Sunday, Dec. 8 and led by MU Pitching Coach Josh Newman. Pitchers will be instructed on all aspects of pitching and catchers will be put through numerous drills working on blocking, receiving, and throwing.
Both clinics will feature one session from 9:00am- noon for all ages.
Youth Academy is a two-day event beginning on Friday, Dec. 27 and ending on Saturday, Dec. 28 for grades K-8. This event will be held from 9am to noon and help campers learn about the Herd program and develop confidence in their baseball ability. The camp will be broken into sessions consisting of skill specific instruction, including hitting, base running, fielding, bunting and strength training.
