HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall baseball and head coach Jeff Waggoner announced the signing of 10 student-athletes to National Letters of Intent for the 2018 season.
The class consists of seven junior college players and three high school seniors. The 10 signees are from six different states and one country, including Washington, Ohio, Texas, Massachusetts, Illinois, Michigan and Cuba.
The junior college signees feature five pitchers - Riley Storedahl (Olympia, Wash.), Ryan Falls (Painesville, Ohio), Michael Guerrero (Lawrence, Mass.), Ernesto Pino (Camaguey, Cuba) and Chris Robinson (Glen Carbon, Ill.) - plus infielders Alan Campero (Laredo, Texas) and Elvis Peralta (Lowell, Mass.). Joining the Thundering Herd from high school are pitchers Dylan Dupler (Mount Perry, Ohio), Jared Fish (Farmington Hills, Mich.) and pitcher/shortstop Sam Wilson (Dublin, Ohio).
RHP Riley Storedahl - 6'2 / 200 -- Edmonds CC (Wash.)
Waggoner's take: "Riley has an electric arm with wipeout secondary stuff. He has the ability to throw three plus pitches at any time. His fastball will top out at 95 mph with late life and heavy sinking action. With his skill set, we expect him to be an immediate impact to this pitching staff. He has everything our staff looks for when we evaluate elite talent across the country on and off the field."
LHP Ryan Falls - 6'5 / 220 -- Sinclair CC (Ohio)
Waggoner's take: "Ryan is a very talented left-handed pitcher that has tremendous upside. He will pitch to both sides of the plate with his fastball at 88-91. He shows very minimal effort in his delivery. He utilizes his height along with his high 3/4 arm slot to create a very challenging downhill plane to hitters. We foresee Ryan being a big contributor to the team before moving on to the next level."
INF Alan Campero - 6'0 / 180 -- Alvin CC (Texas)
Waggoner's take: "Alan is an exceptional defender at the shortstop position. He will bring plus speed and athleticism to the middle infield position, and will give us a dynamic offensively with his tools. We will expect Alan to compete for the starting job at shortstop."
INF Elvis Peralta - 6'1 / 190 -- Crowder CC (Mo.)
Waggoner's take: "We are ecstatic to add two guys that currently attending Crowder Community College. This is a place near and dear to me as I have many fond memories of being a former student-athlete there in Neosho, Missouri. In addition, these two guys bring the tools we are looking for to help us win a championship. Elvis is extremely athletic and shows good arm strength across the diamond. He is a left-handed bat that will bring plus speed and athleticism to our lineup. We foresee Elvis competing for the middle infield position next year."
RHP Michael Guerrero - 6'2 / 190 -- Crowder CC (Mo.)
Waggoner's take: "Michael is another kid coming in from Crowder Community College that I am excited to have in our family. These two young men will be the first guys to ever play here at Marshall that currently attend Crowder Community College. In addition, Michael has a very quick arm that shows a plus breaking ball at 80-82 mph with a late break. He brings a competitive edge that really stands out. We look for him to be an immediate impact to this pitching staff."
RHP Ernesto Pino - 6'2 / 200 -- Miami Dade CC (Fla.)
Waggoner's take: "Ernesto comes from a tremendous background and one of the top JUCO programs in the country. He has a front line type of arm that our coaching staff is very excited about. He will throw his fastball at 90-93 coupled with a devastating change-up. He uses a solid three pitch mix with an athletic frame and a loose arm action. We foresee him competing for a rotation spot."

RHP Chris Robinson - 6'3 / 200 -- Maple Woods CC (Mo.)
Waggoner's take: "Chris is an absolute strike thrower with a solid three pitch mix. He will show plus command of his fastball to both sides of the plate. He brings a competitive edge on and off the mound that will make all of those around him better."
LHP Dylan Dupler - 6'4 / 180 -- Sheridan HS (Ohio)
Waggoner's take: "We are extremely excited for Dylan's future. Our staff feels strongly about the athleticism he brings from the left-side. We foresee him being a big part to the future success of our pitching staff.  We feel he has a very high ceiling for continued development. He is a three-sport All-State athlete from Ohio that pitches from a 3/4 arm slot, showing a feel for three pitches."
LHP Jared Fish - 6'4 / 180 -- North Farmington HS (Mich.)
Waggoner's take: "Jared is another very athletic and talented left-handed pitcher that comes from Michigan. He has a clean, projectable arm. He will throw from a low 3/4 arm slot and will utilize a steady three pitch mix and a shows a very good changeup. He uses his athletic frame with minimal effort in his delivery. He has a bright future ahead of him and we are excited to be a part of it."
RHP/SS Sam Wilson - 6'3 / 190 -- Dublin Jerome HS (Ohio)
Waggoner's take: "Extremely athletic, potential two-way guy with a strong arm from the infield and off the mound. He shows the ability to have a plus breaking ball at 75-78 mph with a short quick arm action that creates deception against hitters. He shows the athleticism and tools to be an integral part to the future of our program. We feel Sam is another kid that has a very high ceiling for continued growth."
