2015-16 (SENIOR): Earned Chalie Slack "Tough Man" Award from Herd coaches ... appeared in 27 games, making three starts (Nov. 24, 27; March 5) … season-high 13 points in C-USA Semifinals against eventual champion Middle Tennessee (March 11) … sunk career-high three 3-pointers against Blue Raiders … two games of 10 points or more … season-high five assists in opener against Tennessee (Nov. 19) … made career-high three steals at Ohio (Dec. 1) … career-high six rebounds versus Louisiana Tech (March 3) … averaged 2.9 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.
2014-15 (REDSHIRT JUNIOR): Received the Bob Allen Most Improved Player Award from Herd coaches ... appeared in 31 of 32 games ... joined the starting lineup for the first time against Penn State (Dec. 6) and remained for 24 games until he suffered a season-ending knee injury at Charlotte (March 7), the Herd's final game before the C-USA Tournament ... reached double-figure scoring in 15 games ... No. 3 in scoring for Marshall with 9.8 points per game ... best individual performance by a Herd player this season with 27 points against Florida Atlantic (Feb. 28) ... named Marshall's MVP of the Capital Classic with 18 points, six rebounds, six assists one block and one steal against West Virginia (Dec. 14).
2013-14 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the season while rehabbing from a knee injury on his right knee due to a torn ACL and fracture.
AT OWENS CC (2011-2013): The No. 76 junior college player according to JucoRecruiting.com... Averaged 18.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 15 games as a sophomore before his season was cut short with a knee injury... Owens went on to finish with a 26-10 record in his sophomore season and finished fourth at the NJCAA Division II National Tournament... Scored in double figures in all but three games while averaging a team-leading 18.8 points per game as a freshman, totaling 600 points... Was named First Team All-Ohio Community College Athletic Conference and First Team All-Region XII as a freshman while leading Owens to a record of 24-8 before falling in the Region XII/District 10 finals... Attempted a lot of three's, a program record 262 of them as a freshman... Tied the program record for free throw percentage in one game (100 percent vs. Henry Ford CC, 10/10).
HIGH SCHOOL: Played one season at Summit Christian Academy Prep before signing with Owens... Before, played for Albion High School... Was a McDonald's High School All-American nominee and a participant in the Basketball Coaching Association (BCAM) of Michigan All-Star game... Earned First Team All-Battle Creek League, First Team All-Southwestern Michigan Activities Association and Honorable mention All-Michigan.
