Makes Marshall 1,390-1,011-2 all-time.

Team Notes

Marshall lost the opening tip off for the first time in eight games (Hofstra) and just the second time this season.

A three pointer by Elijah Pittman in the first half extended the Herd's streak of games with a made three pointer to 692.

After Marshall narrowed the UK lead to three points early in the second half, the Wildcats went on a 27-5 run in just under nine minutes. The Herd had only made field goal during the run.

The Herd was held to its lowest point total of the year (54) and lowest field goal percentage of the season (30%).

MU falls to 0-5 this season when it is outrebounded and 0-3 when scoring 60 or less points.

Individual Notes

D.D. Scarver and Elijah Pittman have each made a three point basket in all 13 games of their MU career.

Pittman's 20 points gives him double-digit points in all but two of his 13 career games. He has scored 20 or more points in four games this season.

Pittman scored his team-high points by tying his career-high for made field goals with seven (Nevada).

With 14 points, Dennis Tinnon scored in double-digits for the 25th time of his career.

After collecting six rebounds, Tinnon has grabbed at least five rebounds in 43 of his 48 career, including all 13 games this season.

Nigel Spikes pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds, the second highest total of his career. The senior also became the first player with 15 rebounds in a game since Tinnon had 15 versus SMU in last year's Conference USA tournament (3/7/12).

Spikes had his second highest defensive rebound total with 12.

DeVince Boykins pulled down a career-high four rebounds while playing the most minutes of his career with 16.

Kelvin Amayo made his first career appearance as a member of the Herd after checking in with less than four minutes to play in the game. He recorded one rebound on the day.

Miscellaneous Notes

Saturday's announced attendance of 24, 271 is the largest crowd Marshall has played in front of, passing 23,782, which was the announced attendance when the Herd played against Kentucky inside Rupp on Dec. 27, 1994.
