On what it was like to play in Rupp Arena…

“It was a great experience to come in here and play in Rupp Arena. However, it was an embarrassment to come in here and get beat by 30.”

On when the game got away from them…

“In the second half we wanted to come out with a lot of energy knowing that we were down. We knew we had to pick it up in order to win. We came out in the second half and hit some big shots and got the lead down to four or two points. Then we started turning the ball over repeatedly. Every time we turned the ball over they were going the other way and scoring. There is no defense to stop that. Wide open lay ups are just easy points for them.”

On playing against a long and athletic Kentucky team…

“This is just going to get us prepared for down the road. We are going to be starting conference play soon. I look at it as, if we can kind of compete against a good team like Kentucky, we should be able to breeze through our conference.”

On what it was like playing in Rupp Arena …

“I’ve played here before and won championships here. So I knew what to expect, it was the same old thing.”

On when UK took control of the game …

“We came out aggressive in the second half but then we lost our focus. We were talking out there; you can tell I lost my voice. There was just a lack of defense in the second half. ”

On what Marshall can take use to build on from the game …

“You have to do everything for 40 minutes. There’s no 30 minutes, there’s no 20 minutes, no 19 minutes, this game is 40 minutes of playing. We have to learn how to play for 40 minutes.”
