HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Eastern Michigan Eagles come to town for an important Mid-American Conference game Wednesday evening at the Henderson Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.

The Eagles (9-10, 4-7) have won two straight over Buffalo and Akron, Marshall's last two opponents, are led by John Bowler, who averages 13.6 points and 8.2 rebounds per contest. Three other EMU scorers (James Jackson, Markus Austin, JaQuan Hart) average double-figure points for the Eagles.

The Herd (7-12, 4-7) is looking to end their longest losing streak since the 1997-98 season, when Marshall dropped five in a row. Marshall has also lost eight out of their last ten games.

MU has had trouble putting the ball in the basket as of late, especially from three-point land. After starting the Akron game 5-of-8 from beyond the arc, the Herd has been cold from downtown, hitting only four out of their last 32 attempts. Against Buffalo on Saturday, the Herd was only 1-15 from three.

Marshall leads the all-time series, 9-3, after the two teams split two meetings in 2002-03. Eastern Michigan won 90-81 in Ypsilanti on February 3rd, while Marshall took a first round MAC Tournament game, 83-75, on March 10th at the Henderson Center.
