Men's Basketball Hosts Defending MAC Champion Kent State Tuesday

    Marshall's men's basketball team will host Mid-American Conference East leader, and defending MAC Champion, Kent State, Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Cam Henderson Center.

    Marshall (11-12 overall, 7-7 MAC) will be looking to end a two game losing streak, while the Flashes (18-6 overall, 11-4 MAC)will be trying to recover from a loss at home to Hawaii on Saturday. Kent State has lost four of its last five games.

    Kent State topped Marshall 71-58 on Jan. 18th at Kent thanks to an 18-point, 11-rebound effort from All-MAC forward Antonio Gates. Kent is led by Gates? 21 points and 7.8 rebounds per game. The sharp-shooting Eric Haut adds 15.4 points per game and shoots 45.6% from three-point range.
