Herd Men’s Basketball to Welcome Concord
The two sides will meet for the first time since Dec. 3, 1949
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Head coach Dan D’Antoni and the Marshall men’s basketball team will return to action when it welcomes the Concord Mountain Lions on Sunday, Nov. 26, at 4 p.m. at the Cam Henderson Center.
Mark Martin and Bob Bolen will be on the call for HerdVision, while Steve Cotton and Charlie Hagley will call the game via radio.

Marshall bounced back after a two-game skid and defeated North Carolina Central, 92,84. Dani Koljanin made his first start for the Herd. Darius George had a career and game-high eight rebounds. George also had a career-high five points. Jon Elmore had his second game of reaching at least 20 points and nine assists. Ajdin Penava tied his career-high with six blocks. Jarrod West had his second consecutive game of connecting with at least three 3-pointers. Marshall moved to 3-1 when connecting on at least 10 3-pointers. Elmore made five 3-pointers, the most since the season opener against Tennessee at Martin.
Tommy Bolte is averaging 37.5 points per game, which helped him earn MEC Player of the Week honors. In Hamlet’s 53 points against Notre Dame and Urbana, the Roanoke, Virginia native tallied 11 three-pointers to bring his season total to 19. Not only is Hamlet racking up the three-pointers, but he’s also been efficient doing so. Hamlet ranks third in the MEC in made three-pointers behind Fairmont State’s Jason Jolly and West Liberty’s Dalton Bolon.
Over the weekend, senior guard B.J. Hamlet averaged 26.5 points in the two games against Notre Dame and UU. Hamlet poured in a career-high 28 points in a loss at NDC. However, Brisco came to the forefront with a career-best 29 points including an 11-for-14 effort from the field against Urbana.
Marshall and Concord will meet for the first time since Dec. 3, 1949. The Herd is on a seven-game winning streak and has not lost a contest to Concord since 1932.
