Finished Marshall career as a two-time All-Conference USA first team selection by league coaches at center (2013, 2014) after coming to the Herd as a 2010 invited walk-on from Page High School in Greensboro, N.C. … Played 4,040 career snaps, which led all 2014 active FBS offensive linemen … Started every game in his Marshall career – 53 – since being redshirted as a walk-on in 2010 (FBS-level school record). Only two players in major-college history have made more consecutive starts -- Hawaii center John Estes (2006-09) and Northern Illinois offensive tackle Trevor Olson (2008-11) made 54 straight starts, the NCAA record. Among offensive linemen, LSU's Ciron Black (2006-09) made 53 starts … Of 53 starts, 50 were at center and three at right guard as 2012 sophomore … Was voted season (and bowl) co-captain by Herd teammates for 2014 and 2013 … Chosen by Herd coaches as game captain nine times in 13 games … Following senior season, played in Senior Bowl and Medal of Honor Bowl … One of key team leaders on 2013 and 2014 teams that went 10-4 and 13-1, respectively, with two bowl wins, a Conference USA title and national ranking (Nos. 22/23 in final 2014 polls).

R-SENIOR SEASON (2014): All-Conference USA first team center for second straight season … Started all 14 games for C-USA title team and Boca Raton Bowl champion (13-1), as Herd finished Nos. 22/23 in in final national polls …

R-JUNIOR SEASON (2013): Started all 14 games at center and helped the Herd to a 10-4 finish and Military Bowl victory over Maryland … An All-Conference USA first team selection by league coaches, the Herd's first all-conference first team offensive lineman since former NFL player Doug Legursky in 2007 … Played 1,096 snaps for one of top FBS offenses (500.4 ypg; 42.1 ppg) … Elected as one of five 2013 season captain by Herd teammates prior to bowl game … Was a game captain eight times (selected by coaching staff), topped only by nine selections for quarterback Rakeem Cato … Won team's Jim Conard Award as top lineman … Graded out at 98 percent (assignments) and 86 percent (success), the latter a Herd best … Had a team-high 79 knockdowns and allowed only one sack. R-SOPHOMORE SEASON (2012): Started every game for the Herd -- the first nine at center and the last three (UAB, Houston, East Carolina) at right guard … All-Conference USA Honorable Mention pick by coaches … Played 1,094 snaps … Key cog in one of nation's top offenses (534.3 ypg; 40.9 ppg).

Started at center in all 13 games, helping the Herd to a 7-6 finish and Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl victory over FIU … Played 842 snaps. FRESHMAN SEASON (2010): Redshirted … Came to Marshall as invited walk-on from Page High School in Greensboro, N.C., where he starred at offensive tackle and played on 2007 state championship team … Awarded scholarship in December 2010, at end of redshirt season.
