Played on through the season despite the Oct. 17 death of his mother, Velma Tindal, 44, due to brain aneurysm ... Started 12 games, all at nickel (Herd starter three linebackers in the other two games) ... Was fifth among Herd in tackles, with 61 (40 solos), including five tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and six pass breakups ... Recovered two fumbles ...
