Enters 2015 season with 26 starts in two seasons, ranking third on the team behind linebacker D.J. Hunter (28) and safety Taj Letman (27) … Has 134 career tackles (77 solos), with seven tackles for loss, two sacks, three fumbles recovered and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown … his 991 snaps last season is high among 2015 Herd returnees.

R-SOPHOMORE SEASON (2014): Voted All-Conference USA honorable mention by league coaches … Started all 14 games, with 10 at cornerback and four at nickel … Ranked sixth among the Herd in tackles with 73 (37 solos), including two tackles for loss … Broke up 12 passes … First career interception came at FIU (Oct. 18), where he made a 30-yard return for his first career TD; came one year and one day after his mother’s death in nearby Fort Lauderdale (see details below in 2013 season) … Top tackles game was nine in overtime loss to Western Kentucky (Nov. 28) … Had eight hits in wins over FAU, Southern Miss and UAB … Had fumble recovery on kickoff against Middle Tennessee (Oct. 11).

R-FRESHMAN SEASON (2013): In helping Herd to Military Bowl and 10-4 season, was chosen Conference USA co-Freshman of the Year as a cornerback and nickel; also one of five Herd rookies to make C-USA all-Freshman Team … Played on through the season despite the Oct. 17 death of his mother, Velma Tindal, 44, due to brain aneurysm … Started 12 games, all at nickel (Herd starter three linebackers in the other two games) … Was fifth among Herd in tackles, with 61 (40 solos), including five tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and six pass breakups … Recovered two fumbles … Had career-high 12 tackles in home win over East Carolina (Nov. 29) that clinched C-USA East Division title … Also had three six-tackle games (Ohio, Southern Miss, Maryland in Military Bowl).

FRESHMAN SEASON (2012): Redshirted to retain eligibility.

HERD FILE: Born Oct. 12, 1991 … Majoring in Management at MU … Native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. … Signed with FIU but didn’t qualify, then took a prep season at Atlanta Sports Academy … As a senior at Boyd Anderson High School, he had scholarship offers from Bowling Green, Buffalo, Marshall, Maryland, Minnesota, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Toledo, Western Kentucky and Western Michigan … All-Broward County as a senior, ranked by Rivals as the nation’s No. 52 cornerback prospect in 2011. Was No. 7 Broward County prospect … Played in Dade-Broward All-Star Game … Had 20 tackles, 2 interceptions on defense and 1,300 yards on 187 carries in 15 touchdowns (total) as Boyd Anderson senior.
