Enters final collegiate season as one of the nation’s top kick returners … As Herd junior in 2014, ranked No. 7 in FBS in kick return average (29.1 yards) … His 931 return yards on 32 kicks ranked only seven yards behind nation leader John Ross of Washington (on 38 returns) … His 931 return yards broke his Herd season of record of 924, set in 2013 … With 1,855 kick return yards, stands only 111 behind the Marshall school record of 1,966 set by Ray Crisp (1975-78) … His 26.9-yard career average ranks No. 6 in Conference USA career history and is tops in MU annals … Has played in 38 of 40 games in his Herd career.
R-JUNIOR SEASON (2014): Was best in the nation on long returns (30 or more yards) with 10, and ranked tied for the FBS lead with five returns of 40 or more yards … His first career TD – a 93-yard kick return to start Marshall’s scoring in a Boca Raton Bowl win over Northern Illinois – was the Herd’s first kick runback for a score since Troy Evans’ 100-yarder in an October 2010 loss at Southern Miss … His 93-yard bowl return is career-long and was his only return of game … Other returns of more than 40 yards were against Southern Miss (58), Louisiana Tech (44), Middle Tennessee (41) and Florida Atlantic (41) … Season-best 109 yards on four returns in opener at Miami (Ohio) … As receiver, made his only two receptions in opening win at Miami (Ohio), for 26 yards … Moved from slot receiver to outside receiver in August camp, but didn’t play receiver after Week 3 against Ohio.
R-SOPHOMORE SEASON (2013): Emerged as special teams force early in season and returned 37 kicks for Herd-record season-record 924 yards (broken in 2014 by Reaves). The 924 yards ranked eighth nationally in FBS … Top yardage game was 133 on four returns in loss at Middle Tennessee (is career high); also had season-long of 81 yards at Middle, caught on MTSU 17-yard line … In Herd’s bowl victory over Maryland in Military bowl, ran back five kicks for 124 yards. The five returns rank second in Military Bowl history, with the 124 yards ranking third … Besides 81-yard return at MTSU, also had 40-plus returns versus UTSA (48), FIU (45) and East Carolina (42) … Had nine returns of 30 or more yards, ranking tied for fourth in FBS … As backup slot receiver, caught six passes for 42 yards … Also returned six punts for 51 yards … Made five tackles on special teams.
