Appeared in all 13 games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams...made 14 tackles including three for a loss of three yards...was credited with a 1/2 sack...posted two quarterback pressures.

FRESHMAN Season (2008)
Appeared in all 12 games as a reserve linebacker and on special teams...finished with six tackles...named to C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll.

A multi-sport prep standout...helped Lancaster to a 10-0 regular season in football and a conference title...a first-team All-District selection and special mention All-Ohio in football...helped his team to four straight state playoff berths as a fullback...credited with 260 carries for 2,450 yards and 34 rushing touchdowns in his prep career...also a standout swimmer who won conference championships in the 50m free and 100m breaststroke as a senior...an honor roll student and member of his high school student council.

Son of Rob and Susie Carpenter...his father played collegiately at Miami University before going on to an NFL career that saw him play for the Houston Oilers, N.Y. Giants and L.A. Rams...has three brothers - Nathan, Jonathan and Bobby...Bobby played collegiately at Ohio State and is a member of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys and Jonathan attends the University of Cincinnati...lists his father as his biggest role model, because of his work ethic...his hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping and working on cars.
