Saw action in all 12 games and earned nine starts...recorded 38 total tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss (-21 yards), and 2.5 sacks (-14 yards)...recorded a season-high six tackles against both Cincinnati and Southern Miss...credited with sacks against New Hampshire, Cincinnati and Southern Miss.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2006)
Started the first 10 games of the season at linebacker before suffering a season-ending knee injury at East Carolina...Finished with 27 tackles, a forced fumble and three pass break-ups...Made four tackles in the season opener at West Virginia...Also had four stops at Tennessee and against UCF...Registered back-to-back three-tackle performances at UAB and against Memphis including a half tackle for loss...Recorded five tackles against Tulane.
R-FRESHMAN SEASON (2005)
Played in all 11 games for the Herd, starting four at linebacker...Hoskins made first career start at Virginia Tech on Oct. 8...Finished season with 15 tackles and a TFL...Recorded his first tackle of the season against William & Mary...Had a season-high four tackles at Virginia Tech...Added three stops in his second start against UAB...Recorded two stops against Southern Miss and East Carolina.
