2005 (Junior):
Started 10 games for the Herd at linebacker...Finished second on the team with 97 tackles...Was fourth on team with five TFL...In the Herd's 36-24 season-opening win over William & Mary, Couch returned a fumble 70 yards for a touchdown...Had nine tackles with a quarterback hurry and a pass break-up to go along with his 70-yard fumble return against W&M on Sept. 1...Added 10 tackles against Kansas State on Sept. 10...Had eight tackles and an interception in the Herd's 23-13 loss at UCF Sept. 24...Had two TFL against SMU...Recorded a career-high 14 tackles in the Herd's 20-19 homecoming win over UAB...Had eight solo stops and a TFL against Tulane Oct. 29...Added nine tackles (eight solo stops), a TFL and two QB hurries in a 27-24 overtime loss to Southern Miss Nov. 8...Tied his season-high with 14 tackles against East Carolina...Twice named team Defensive Player of the Week.
