R-FRESHMAN Season (2009)
Saw limited action for most of the season and earned two starts late last season when Darius Marshall was out with an injury and made the most of that opportunity...rushed for 393 yards and three touchdowns on the year while averaging 4.8 yards per carry...in his first collegiate start he carried the ball 25 times for 136 yards (teaming with fellow running back Terrell Edwards-Maye to both go over 100 yards in the same game) and a touchdown in the win over SMU...despite sharing time with Darius Marshall, Ward earned MVP honors in the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl win over Ohio by rushing for 75 yards and two touchdowns on only 10 carries.
REDSHIRT (2008)
