Game notes – Marshall at UTSA – Nov. 18, 2017

The game captains, as selected by Marshall head coach Doc Holliday and his staff, were senior tight end Ryan Yurachek (offense), junior linebacker Chase Hancock (defense) and senior specialist Kaare Vedvik (special teams).

Marshall wide receivers Obi Obialo and Nick Mathews made their first career starts.

MU senior tight end Ryan Yurachek extended his streak of consecutive games with a reception to 40 games, the fourth-longest active streak in FBS.

The third quarter fumble recovery by Marshall freshman linebacker Jaquan Yulee was the first of his career. The fumble was forced by sophomore defensive lineman Channing Hames, his second of the season.

The 22-yard reception by Obi Obialo in the third quarter is the longest of his Marshall career. Obialo bested that mark in the fourth quarter with a 43-yard reception.

Receiver Hyleck Foster had his first touchdown reception of the season.

Quarterback Chase Litton passed Michael Payton on the career attempts list. Payton had 1,108. Litton has 1,111.
