Marshall Announces Green & White Spring Game Presented by Kroger and Post-Game Concert
Academy of Country Music Awards Top New Vocal Group Gloriana to perform live following the annual Green & White Game Presented by Kroger

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University Director of Athletics Mike Hamrick announced Wednesday that renowned country music group Gloriana will perform a concert immediately following Marshall's annual Green & White Spring Football Game presented by Kroger at Joan C. Edwards Stadium on Saturday, April 24. The post-game concert will close out an exciting weekend full of activities.
"We are looking forward to an exciting weekend of events focused not only on honoring four of our greatest NFL alums, but on the future of our program as a whole," Hamrick said. "This weekend will be a celebration of our past and our future. All Thundering Herd fans will want to be a part of it."
Kickoff for the Green & White Spring Game presented by Kroger is scheduled for 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 12 and under. The ticket price includes admission for both the spring football game and the post-game concert by Gloriana.
Gloriana has been named the American Music Awards "Breakout Artists of the Year" and the Academy of Country Music Awards Top New Vocal Group.
Tickets for the spring game and concert go on sale at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 25, through the Marshall University Athletic Ticket Office. Tickets can be ordered online at www.Herdzone.com or by calling 1-800-THE-HERD. All tickets are general admission on the west side of the stadium.
Parking for the Green & White game presented by Kroger will be available for $10 on a first come, first serve basis on the Stadium West Lot, the West Lot Annex and the Softball parking lots. Parking in the Third Avenue Parking Garage is also available for only $5.
The weekend of activities will begin Friday, April 23 with the largest Big Green Foundation Dinner in history. The Big Green Scholarship Foundation Dinner and a special "Sons of Marshall" Hall of Fame Induction presented by Pepsi and Sheetz is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, April 23 at the Marshall Student Recreation Center and a crowd estimated in excess of 1,100 is expected to attend. The banquet features NFL players Chad Pennington, Randy Moss, Byron Leftwich and John Wade who all played collegiately at Marshall. Marshall Athletics will also conduct an M-Club Town Hall Meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 24, in the Cam Henderson Center. Director of Athletics Mike Hamrick, M-Club President Steve Williams and Chad Pennington will lead the meeting specifically designed for former letter winners. The Marshall Ticket Office will conduct a football season ticket "Choose-a-Seat" event at Noon on Saturday, April 24, leading up to kickoff of the spring football game. Fans can talk with ticket office personnel, look at available seating options and purchase tickets at the stadium from Noon through halftime of the spring game.
